With the new MPU, Pioneer DJ has not only completely revamped the controls of the CDJ, they have also made its operation more fluid and stable than its predecessors. The computing power of this MPU has paved the way for a lot of exciting new features that were not possible before and with which additional features can be launched via subsequent updates.

Pro DJ Link with gigabit Ethernet

The gigabit Ethernet connection for Pro DJ Link lets you share and play audio files from USB devices and SD cards on up to 6 CDJ-3000 devices when combined with a 6-channel mixer like the DJM-V10.

Better screen visibility 

Maximum screen brightness has been improved by more than 150% over that of the CDJ-2000NXS2, so you can shift up a gear and get everything on your screen even on a summer festival afternoon.

Enhanced audio design: letting your audience hear the true sound of music and every nuance of your performance

Over 25 years of experience have been applied to create the ultimate DJ sound: the sound of each track is reproduced exactly as the producer intended when he created it and every minute detail of your performance comes through with crystal clarity.

The CDJ-3000 unifies internal audio processing to 96 kHz/32-bit floating in all playable audio formats. That means it can capture all the subtle nuances, including depth and ambience, of the original sound source, down to even the smallest changes in low range timbre. Advanced audio processing technology such as variable-speed playback, master tempo and the new Key Shift feature help you create a more realistic reproduction of spatial sound and more musicality in the bass than any Pioneer DJ multiplayer has ever been able to do.

To get the most out of the DAC (digital-to-analog converter), every part of the circuit that delivers analog audio was carefully rethought and several improvements made. The digital audio was also tweaked for optimal sound quality in the player as a whole. This was done by testing numerous different components and thus finding the best possible design for each major component. The result is drastically reduced digital noise and a much more natural sound that your audience can keep listening to set after set - even when the volume is high. 

9-inch, high-resolution touchscreen with never-before-seen features: all the information you need at a glance

With a touch screen larger and brighter than that of the CDJ-2000NXS2, we were able to add additional information, shortcuts and buttons for frequently used categories and functions, such as Playlist and Search, so you can access them instantly at any time. The GUI (graphical user interface) will probably feel familiar since it was in the CDJ-2000NXS2 before. In addition, you can customize the information you want to see and set preferences for certain aspects such as text size. You can now swipe on the screen to navigate and by touching the screen use the sort function to rearrange the track list. All this results in a much smoother and more efficient workflow that allows you to browse songs more instinctively. A number of new features help you choose the perfect song every time and drop it into your mix at the right time.

Touch Preview

Listen to a piece of a song you want to preview by touching the waveform at a certain place in the browse section. If you have several CDJ-3000 units connected to the DJM-V10 or DJM-900NXS2 via Pro DJ Link, Link Cue even lets you preview tracks from another player.

Touch Cue

Listen to another part of the song currently playing by touching the waveform - your audience won't notice or hear a thing. This is very useful if you want to know how the song will continue in order to find a mixpoint, especially when taking over from another DJ or with back-to-back sets. With Link Cue (see above) you can also listen to different parts of a song that another DJ or another player is just playing.

Stacked Waveform

Monitor the expanded waveform of the song on the master player and the song you want to cue on a single screen. Find mix points and see at a glance the visual beatgrids that are perfectly aligned.

Support for 3Band Waveform

Understand what a song sounds like without listening to it. The 3Band Waveform uses different colors to display the volume of each frequency band in files analyzed by rekordbox. So by looking at the waveform, you can immediately see how the music is structured. 3Band Waveform comes on top of the previous RGB and Blue options. 

Key Sync and Key Shift: mix in perfect harmony

One press of the Key Sync button and the CDJ-3000 automatically matches the key of the next track to the current track on the main turntable, so you can mix smoothly and harmoniously. Use Key Shift on the touch screen to manually increase or decrease the key of a song.

The smoothest jog wheel ever: feel the difference

Effortless scratching and smooth pitch bending. We've changed the mechanism inside the jog wheel so it feels smoother than ever. What's more, the touch delay is now half that of the CDJ-2000NXS2. The LCD screen in the center shows the playhead position and the graphic album design to quickly see which songs are ready on each turntable.

Eight Hot Cue Buttons

Intuitively activate Hot Cues via the eight buttons positioned from left to right below the waveform screen. The linear position makes selecting cue points depending on their position in the song feel more natural.

Dedicated Beat Jump buttons

Jump forward or backward from the current playback position in the song by using the special Beat Jump buttons. You can set the amount of beats to 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64 beats.

Advanced Auto Beat Loop section

Not only is the CDJ-3000 equipped with the CDJ-2000NXS2's popular 4-Beat Loop button, it also has an 8-Beat Loop button for even more creative possibilities. Want to create polyrhythmic loops? Then use the expanded options for other loop frequencies to quickly remix sounds.

Flexible performance options: the DJ is in control

Play rekordbox-analyzed music from USB ports via Export mode, or connect your laptop to a USB HID controller to use Link Export or Performance mode. Since the CDJ-3000 is a "Hardware Unlock" device, you can use Performance mode for free - you don't need a paid subscription - so you can use all the songs in your rekordbox library, including those from Beatport/Beatsource LINK and SoundCloud Go+ (subscription required for streaming services).

With a USB cable*2 you can even connect your iPhone to the CDJ-3000 and mix music directly from the latest iOS version of rekordbox. That supports lossless file types like WAV, FLAC, ALAC and AIFF, as well as MP3 and AAC.
