Based on our previous flagship model, the HDJ-2000MK2, the HDJ-X7 headphones are equipped with the newly developed drivers, while the HDJ-X5 headphones have inherited the high-quality audio design from the HDJ-X7, so you always get a clear monitoring sound through, even at high volumes.

However you prefer to wear your headphones, all HDJ-X models can be comfortably worn for long periods of time thanks to the flexible swivel mechanism and housing developed with the advice of professional DJs. They're also designed to be extremely robust, and all models have passed both the MIL-STD-810G shock test4 - a test all equipment for the US military must pass - and our own stringent durability tests.

The HDJ-X7 headphones are based on the professional model HDJ-2000MK2 and are also equipped with the newly developed 50-mm driver. The shape and materials of the new diaphragm have been optimized to create tight bass tones and clear high frequencies, to benefit from an accurate monitoring sound.

The independent grounding wire in the twisted 4-core cable provides superior separation between the left and right channels for improved sound quality.

The bass reflex chamber in the top of the enclosure ensures excellent bass response and noise isolation.

You can take the HDJ-X headphones with you wherever you go, confident that they can handle demanding conditions and heavy use with ease. Each model has passed both the US Army's MIL-STD-810G shock test and our own rigorous stress tests.  

During the development of each new product, we make numerous prototypes, to which we make new improvements each time based on the feedback we receive from professional DJs who test our products. Using that feedback and the results of our analysis of many different monitoring styles, we've been able to ensure that HDJ-X headphones are always comfortable, no matter how you wear them. The design of the housing reduces pressure on your head and has a texture on the outside that improves grip, so you can quickly grab it to start listening.

A comfortable and flexible headband

To help you find the perfect fit, HDJ-X headphones are equipped with a flexible, durable headband. They've passed our rigorous test - opening and closing them 20,000 times - so they're built for heavy use.  

Features inherited from the HDJ-2000 models

As successors to the HDJ-2000 models, the HDJ-X headphones have inherited some popular professional features from their predecessors, such as their flexible swivel mechanism for comfortable monitoring no matter how you prefer to wear them. 

Durable metals were used in all moving parts of both the HDJ-X10 and HDJ-X7 headphones to make the construction as strong as possible.

You can easily replace the detachable cables and ear pads for all HDJ-X headphones as they are available (separately). Each model comes with its own cable, and the HDJ-X7 and HDJ-X5 models share the same bayonet closure. So you can purchase an alternative cable type if you prefer (sold separately). Replacement ear pads are available for the HDJ-X10 and the HDJ-X7, and each of these sets fits all HDJ-X models, including the HDJ-X5.

All HDJ-X headphones have a sophisticated look and are solidly built. The housings of the HDJ-X10 and HDJ-X7 models are finished with a metal design made using a process that spins aluminum and grinds diamonds, making them shine under club and stage lighting. Choose from black or silver versions the look that suits you best.

The HDJ-X7 and HDJ-X5 both come with a compact carry bag that fits snugly around the folded headphones, to save space in your luggage and reduce the risk of damage along the way.
