Based on its predecessor, the DJM-900NXS2, it has new innovative features and superior performance that were previously unmatched. At first glance, the difference from its predecessor may not seem so great, but nothing could be further from the truth! 

Your performances will sound better than ever with the DJM-A9. A high-quality 32-bit A/D converter from ESS Technology is built into the channel input section, and D/A converters of the same type are included in the master and booth output sections. So you produce crystal-clear, natural-sounding audio on the dance floor and in the booth, whatever genre of music you're playing. The sound of the microphone input and headphone outputs has also been improved and refined, thanks to improved construction with carefully selected new components.

The DJM-A9 also features significant improvements in user feel. Several components have been tweaked to make the DJ mixer even more intuitive and enjoyable to use, including more space around the EQ knobs. The channel faders and MAGVEL FADER crossfader are smoother than those on the DJM-900NXS2, allowing you to mix and scratch more smoothly. Also, the Sound Color FX includes the world's first Center Lock feature that you can turn on so you don't accidentally cross high/low parameters no matter how fast you turn the knob. 

Beat FX are more intuitive to use on the DJM-A9 thanks to the new color screen and the redesigned X-Pad, which is now horizontal for easy, side-to-side finger gliding. The Beat FX channel selector is now a knob instead of a rotary switch so you route effects faster, and the Multi I/O section has been upgraded with true send capabilities. In all, there are 14 Beat FX to play with, including 3 new ones.
