From this small "chimney" come powerful tight bass frequencies along with the clear mids and highs of the surrounding CLG140/CLG160 satellites for a punchy and articulate full-range garden sound. The CLG-W12 can be powered from a single amplifier channel at 4 ohms, with the 70/100V line option recommended for cable lengths greater than 10m (30ft) and for adding subwoofers to the system. In this line configuration, the CLG140/CLG160 satellites are connected in sequence to the CLG-W12, up to a recommended maximum of twelve per subwoofer. Expanding the system to larger garden spaces simply means adding amplifier channels, subwoofers and satellites. In the simplest designs, the satellites are connected in a mono configuration to one amplifier channel, with the other channel powering the subwoofer. The use of a stereo power amplifier with 70/100 volts of line capacity and crossover functions allows the levels to be adjusted between bass and mid-high. Alternatively, the system can be designed to function stereo by adding elements to create left/right zones. Once installed, the Climate Garden system delivers a smooth, wide open and controlled frequency response from 30 Hz to 30 kHz in the intended environment: better than many home audio systems! For patio or deck applications, the CLG-W12 can be installed in a planter to enhance Monitor Audio CL Series speakers with deep bass frequencies, giving installers additional design options.
