Description
BETA 181 C SHURE - Multifunctional Cardioid Intinstruments Microphone.
The Beta 181 is an ultra-compact, side-address condenser microphone with small diaphragm and adjustable caps for different polar patterns. This allows the microphone to be used inconspicuously and versatile for different applications in difficult conditions.
This Beta 181 is a multi-purpose instrument microphone that can be used in a wide range of applications, such as guitars, bass guitars and drums (overheads and snares). A total of four different capsules (Cardioid, Supercardioid, Bidirectional, Omnidirectional) are available, which means that they are adjustable according to the application.
The RPM181/C is a cardioid condenser cap for the Beta 181.
The RPM181/S is a supercardioid capacitor cap for the Beta 181.
The RPM181/BI is a bidirectional capacitor cap for the Beta 181.
The RPM181/O is an omnidirectional capacitor cap for the Beta 181.
The RPM181/S is a supercardioid capacitor cap for the Beta 181.
The RPM181/BI is a bidirectional capacitor cap for the Beta 181.
The RPM181/O is an omnidirectional capacitor cap for the Beta 181.
The cardioid cap is most suitable for overheads, piano and acoustic instruments. You can also use the cardioid cap for M/S stereo miking (in combination with another microphone with a bidirectional cap). The supercardioid cap is best suited for snares, toms, acoustic instruments and other forms of close distance miking. The omnidirectional cap can be used for choirs, orchestras and ambient-recording applications. Finally, the bidirectional cap can be used for mono overheads or for recording two instruments simultaneously on one channel.
