The DT168 is a rugged, 96kHz portable expander for adding remote I/O to a Dante-equipped dLive, Avantis, SQ or AHM system.

The DT168 offers 16 microphone preamps and 8 line outputs in a convenient stagebox form factor. Ideal for portable applications thanks to its rubber bumpers and handle, it can be deployed on stage or used as a drop-in expander in an SQ, Avantis, AHM or dLive Dante network.

Up to 16 units can be added to an AHM-64, SQ, Avantis or dLive system when equipped with an SQ Dante or dLive 96kHz Dante card.

The DT168 offers the acclaimed Allen & Heath preamps, combined with 96kHz converters, for the best-in-class audio quality over Dante, plus primary and secondary ports for daisy-chaining or redundancy via secure EtherCon connectors.

Thanks to the Expander's rugged design, with wear-resistant rubber bumpers, it can be placed directly on the stage floor during performances. Weighing just 4.8 kg and featuring a sturdy carrying handle, the DT168 offers the convenience and portability required in rental, education, houses of worship and many other environments. An optional 4U rack-mount kit is available for installation in 19-inch racks.

DT Preamp Control is a Windows / macOS application that allows multiple DT168 or DT164-W Dante expanders to be remotely controlled. Analogue gain, phantom power and Pad are controlled per socket. Socket names are also displayed and can be edited in Dante Controller.

DT Preamp Control extends the applications of the DT168 and DT164-W expanders, which are not limited to Allen & Heath mixing systems or matrix processors. These include large distributed audio networks in venues, stadiums and educational campuses, where high channel-count Dante I/O is required at multiple locations.

Up to 16 DT168 expanders can be added to an AHM, SQ, Avantis or dLive system when equipped with an SQ Dante or dLive 96kHz Dante card. The DT168 can also be used with Dante-equipped third-party mixers in combination with the DT Preamp Control software.
