Compact dynamic cardioid instrument microphone

The Sennheiser E 604 is a dynamic instrument microphone suited for use with low-frequency instruments. It is particularly well suited for drums such as toms and snares. In addition to drums, this microphone is also highly suitable for recording woodwind and brass instruments. Thanks to a maximum sound pressure level of 160 dB, you don't need to worry about distortion in your recordings.

The E 604 is based on the well-known Sennheiser MD 421 microphone and has a frequency range of 40 Hz to 18 kHz, with a slight peak in the upper-mid and high frequency range. This gives the E 604 an open and clear sound. On top of that, the E 604 comes with a clip-on mount, allowing the microphone to be positioned as optimally as possible. The E 604 can be placed so close to the drumhead that recordings sound as natural as possible.
