The Sennheiser E 865 is a robust condenser microphone with a super-cardioid polar pattern. The E 865 offers a beautifully open and clear sound, capturing your voice in all its detail thanks to a frequency range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz. A gentle high-frequency presence peak ensures vocals cut through the mix and remain intelligible. The super-cardioid pickup pattern means the E 865 captures only the vocals while effectively rejecting surrounding sounds, which also contributes to excellent feedback rejection.

The E 865 can take a beating thanks to its sturdy metal housing, making it ideal for more demanding applications such as rental use and MC work. Handling noise is minimised by Sennheiser through capsule isolation via a built-in shock-mount system. The integrated pop filter prevents plosives and wind noise from disturbing recordings.
