- Premium electronic components, including gold internal and external connectors
- Subsonic filter removes low-frequency rumble (below 17Hz) caused by mechanical vibrations
- Three-position switchable pad (0dB, 15dB and 25dB) for extremely high sound pressure levels (SPLs)
- Three-position switchable low-cut filter reduces background noise and counteracts the proximity effect.

Recommended applications include close miking of acoustic and electric instruments, drum overheads, brass and woodwind instruments, ensembles and even bass instruments such as double bass and kick drum. The KSM137 is equally suited for studio use as for live applications.
