LINEAR 7 is deliberately based on the appearance and proven robust mechanics of the LINEAR 5 series, with specific improvements to the cabinet details. Both technically and acoustically, the LINEAR 7 speaker family represents an entirely new development. The latest generation of high-performance speakers and drivers, specially designed horns, Pascal Class-D amplifiers with high impulse power, FIR filtering and the latest, exceptionally powerful DSP platform with high-resolution converters make the LINEAR 7 family an acoustically precise instrument for demanding applications.
The LINEAR 7 112 FA active and network-compatible full-range speaker delivers more sound pressure in the low-frequency range thanks to its larger cabinet volume. With the Bass Boost preset optimised for each speaker, the low-frequency range can be boosted as desired.
Until recently, it was only possible in the price range of large touring systems to control every mid/high unit, every subwoofer and every stage monitor centrally from the FoH position. Now, with the LINEAR 7 series, this modern and highly efficient workflow can also be achieved in top-class professional point source speakers. Every individual LINEAR 7 speaker in the network is centrally accessible via Mac or PC, and the volume, EQ, limiting, delay and polarity can be controlled in detail.
An additional special feature exclusive to the LINEAR 7 series is that an extra, non-network-compatible active speaker (e.g. from the LINEAR series) can be integrated into the network via DSP-Out, allowing all parameters to be remotely controlled individually. This ensures that existing infrastructure retains its value and remains future-proof.
