The MAUI 44 G3 is a powerful, fully active 4-way column PA system with a passive cardioid column design. Developed for demanding live performances, it combines powerful full-range sound reproduction, ample headroom and controlled dispersion with the fast and easy operation the MAUI series is known for.

The powerful 15" neodymium woofer delivers solid and accurate low-frequency reproduction down to 34 Hz. The bass reflex ports, specially designed for optimal airflow, reduce turbulence and port noise, keeping the bass clean and defined even at high sound pressure levels.

The two-part column houses a total of 14 × 3.5" neodymium midrange speakers and 4 × 1" compression drivers. In the upper section, newly developed phase plugs and BEM-optimised waveguides ensure even and controlled dispersion. The lower section features horn-loaded midrange speakers for higher efficiency, ample headroom and powerful, clear vocal reproduction. The result is coherent midrange and high-frequency reproduction with a dispersion angle of 120° × 25°.

The passive cardioid design of the column directs sound energy towards the audience while simultaneously attenuating rear sound radiation by up to 18 dB, significantly reducing unwanted stage noise. With an additional rear-facing MAUI 44 G3 SUB and the Cardioid preset, this principle can be extended to the low-frequency range. This increases bass reproduction towards the audience while noticeably reducing it behind the system. For maximum low-frequency reinforcement, the second subwoofer can be pointed forward, doubling the sound pressure in the low-frequency range (+6 dB).

The Class D amplifier delivers 1,800 W RMS and 3,600 W peak power, with a maximum sound pressure level of 133 dB SPL. The fully active 4-way architecture uses separate driver groups and amplifier channels for each frequency range. Crossover frequencies are set at 200 Hz, 700 Hz and 1,800 Hz. Thanks to DynX® DSP (Gen. 2) and advanced peak, RMS and thermal limiters, the MAUI 44 G3 delivers clear and distortion-free sound, even at the highest output levels.

Two XLR/TRS combo inputs, two thru outputs and a dedicated sub output allow for easy integration and flexible system expansion. Bluetooth 5.4 with support for SBC and AAC codecs enables straightforward wireless audio playback.

The polyurea-coated birch plywood subwoofer enclosure and robust aluminium columns are designed for daily professional use. Four ergonomic handles on the subwoofer and recessed handles in the columns make transport and handling easier.
