The HK Audio POLAR 15 MK2 is a powerful active column PA system for DJs, entertainers, bands and demanding events. With its 15-inch high-performance woofer, a peak power of 2,000 watts and a maximum sound pressure level of 130 dB, the system delivers powerful, deep bass reproduction while keeping the sound clear and controlled. The frequency range of 35 Hz to 20 kHz enables a balanced reproduction of powerful dance music, vocals and live instruments.

Six lightweight 3-inch neodymium midrange speakers and a precise 1-inch high-frequency driver provide detailed and natural sound reproduction. The Constant Directivity horn distributes sound widely and evenly across the audience with a dispersion angle of 120° × 30°. The low-resonance aluminium profile of the column minimises unwanted vibrations and contributes to a clear and undistorted sound, even at high volume levels.

The 15-inch subwoofer is housed in a sturdy, torsion-resistant plywood enclosure. The generous cabinet volume enables pure, tight and powerful low-frequency reproduction without relying on excessive electronic pre-correction. This makes the POLAR 15 MK2 particularly well-suited for DJ applications requiring sustained powerful bass, as well as for bands with drums, acoustic sets with cajon and entertainers with high demands on sound quality and dynamics.

The integrated 4-channel mixer turns the POLAR 15 MK2 into a self-contained PA solution. Two XLR/jack combo connectors are available for microphones and line signals. In addition, the system features a high-impedance instrument input for direct connection of a guitar and a stereo RCA input for DJ equipment and other audio sources. Phantom power can be switched on for the microphone inputs, allowing condenser microphones to be connected directly to the system.

Volume, tone and DSP functions can be easily adjusted via the clearly legible LCD display and the Push-to-Edit control. Three sound modes — Music, Voice and DJ — enable quick adaptation to different applications. For individual settings, a 3-band EQ, semi-parametric mid EQ, System Delay and five programmable user presets are available. This allows the system to be tailored to different venues and recurring event scenarios, or to be used as a delay line.

Bluetooth 5.0 enables wireless music playback from smartphones and tablets. With True Wireless Stereo, two compatible POLAR MK2 systems can be wirelessly linked to form a true stereo setup. A USB-C charging port can be used to keep smartphones, tablets or battery-powered wireless microphone receivers charged during use.

A notable feature of the POLAR 15 MK2 is the integrated M20 FlexMount. Extension poles for compact lighting rigs and other show accessories can be mounted directly onto the subwoofer via this threaded fitting. This reduces the number of separate stands required, frees up more space on stage and simplifies setup and teardown at mobile events.

The newly developed connector securely and play-free joins the subwoofer, spacer and column element together. The components can be assembled quickly and easily separated again after the event. When the column is used without the spacer, the system is also suitable for applications with a seated audience.

For mobile use, the subwoofer features ergonomically positioned HK Audio MultiGrip handles and additional handles on the top and bottom. A padded protective cover for the subwoofer and a transport bag for the column elements are included as standard. For larger applications, the system can be expanded with a second POLAR MK2 or with one or two HK Audio PORTABLE SUB 115 A or PORTABLE SUB 118 A subwoofers
