The Sub15 is an extremely powerful subwoofer that can extend the frequency range of main and midfield monitors down to 20 Hz. The robust 15″ woofer features an exceptionally rigid aluminium cone driven by two powerful magnets and a 100 mm voice coil. With a power output of 1000 watts (RMS), the PWM amplifier achieves an efficiency of nearly 90%. Thanks to these performance characteristics, the Sub15 effortlessly handles critical musical passages with intense and sudden bass peaks, without showing any signs of distortion or overheating. The downward-firing bass port is specifically designed with generous dimensions and rounded edges to suppress port noise.

To adapt the sound of the Sub15 to different rooms or individual preferences, we have incorporated several controls, including one for volume (-60 dB to +6 dB) and one for the crossover frequency (50 Hz – 150 Hz). The satellite speakers can either be driven at full frequency range or with a high-pass filter at 85 Hz. This allows the Sub15 to be easily integrated into a Dolby Surround setup. Unfavourable phase relationships between the satellites and the subwoofer, particularly in the crossover frequency range, can be easily corrected using the included phase reverse switch.

The Sub15 is also highly flexible in terms of connectivity: both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs and outputs are located on the rear of the subwoofer.

The Sub15 combines excellent transient response with impressive low-frequency performance, resulting in a truly musical listening experience. With a high and distortion-free sound pressure level of up to 120 dB SPL at one metre, the Sub15 is the perfect subwoofer for medium-sized and larger control rooms.
