Use the 2 large effect levers to control up to 57 effects in Serato DJ Pro (including paid Expansion Packs). The levers are the same size as those on our flagship model, the DJM-S11, and you can push them down and release to toggle the effect on or off, or lock them in place to free up your hands for browsing tracks and scratching while the effect stays active. The mixer applies a scratch effect to the music at precisely the right moment without you having to move the crossfader. The result is every bit as impressive as the popular transformer scratch technique. It's the ideal way to learn scratching; with the control vinyl you learn how to nail the timing, after which you can move on to more advanced techniques or the crossfader. 

Activate Crossfader Hot Cue to move the crossfader quickly and create scratch-like sounds in a sample or track. Each time you move the fader away from the edge, the track or sample on your deck restarts from the most recent Hot Cue point. This lets you repeat the action rapidly to play the Hot Cue in time with the rhythm of your crossfader movements, creating scratch-like sounds without ever having to touch the control vinyl on the deck.
