The HDJ-X5 headphone inherits the high-quality audio design from the HDJ-X7, ensuring you always get a clear monitoring sound, even at high volumes.

No matter how you prefer to wear your headphones, you can wear all HDJ-X models comfortably for extended periods thanks to the flexible swivel mechanism and the housing developed with input from professional DJs. They are also designed to be highly robust, and all models have passed both the MIL-STD-810G shock test⁴ – a test that all equipment for the US military must withstand – as well as our own rigorous durability tests.

The HDJ-X5 headphone features new 40 mm drivers with a copper-clad aluminium wire (CCAW) voice coil. The magnetic circuit has been optimised, and thanks to the precise sound isolation and extensive tuning, you can enjoy clear, distortion-free sound while monitoring.

The independent ground wire in the 4-core twisted cable provides superior separation between the left and right channels, resulting in better sound quality. In addition, the HDJ-X10 model is also equipped with a highly reliable, detachable mini-XLR connector for outstanding sound quality.

The bass reflex chamber at the top of the housing ensures excellent bass response and sound isolation.

During the development of each new product, we create numerous prototypes, each time incorporating new improvements based on feedback from professional DJs who test our products. Using that feedback and the results of our analysis of many different monitoring styles, we have been able to ensure that the HDJ-X headphones are always comfortable to wear, regardless of how you wear them. The housing design reduces pressure on your head and features a textured exterior that improves grip, so you can quickly grab them and start listening.

A comfortable and flexible headband

To help you find the perfect fit, the HDJ-X headphones are equipped with a flexible, durable headband. They have passed our rigorous test – during which they are opened and closed 20,000 times – and are therefore built for intensive use.

Features inherited from the HDJ-2000 models

The HDJ-X headphones are the successors to the HDJ-2000 models and have therefore inherited some popular professional features from their predecessors, such as their flexible swivel mechanism for comfortable monitoring, regardless of your preferred wearing style.

The HDJ-X5 comes with a compact carrying pouch that fits snugly around the folded headphones, saving space in your bag and reducing the risk of damage during transport.

The HDJ-X5 comes with a short coiled cable of 1.2 m (approximately 1.8 m extended length), ideal for both DJ performances and home listening. The L-shaped mini-jack prevents the connection from accidentally being disconnected during a performance, even in a tight booth.
