SUB 8004-AS 18-Inch Active Subwoofer RCF

The SUB 8004-AS is one of the most powerful 18" subwoofers in pro sound. With a high-power, hyper-ventilated 18" woofer featuring 4" inside/outside voice coils, this cabinet is designed to deliver a serious amount of low frequency output. Powered by a 1250W digital amplifier module, the SUB 8004-AS performs in the most demanding situations. The input board includes volume control, deep/punch switch, high-pass switch, phase switch, cardioid, and delay.

The SUB 8004-AS efficiently tuned cabinet houses two RCF Precision back-vented, long-excursion, new high-power 18" inch cone drivers, providing fast and controlled reproduction of the low frequency range. With a 4" inside/outside voice coil to minimise power compression and extend the product's lifespan. The drivers are also designed for extreme efficiency, using high-gauss ferrite magnets for the most powerful magnetic field strength. High magnetic field strength increases the sensitivity of the driver, delivering greater output while keeping heat dissipation within operational tolerances. An easily accessible delay knob on the rear allows the total delay of the speaker to be set in meters according to the application. 3 status LEDs Power/Signal/Status are provided for system monitoring. The amplifier features a solid mechanical aluminium structure that not only stabilises the amplifier during transport, but also assists with heat dissipation and, together with DSP control electronics and power supply, is integrated into a single, field-replaceable module mounted in the rear of the cabinet. The cabinet is constructed from multi-layer hardwood and coated with a textured black finish. Integral metal grilles lined with acoustic black mesh protect the cone drivers. Integrated rigging is available for multiple configurations with HDL20-A.
