Based on its predecessor, the DJM-900NXS2, this mixer features innovative new functions and superior performance that have been unmatched until now. At first glance, the difference with its predecessor may seem small – but nothing could be further from the truth! 

Your performances will sound better than ever with the DJM-A9. A high-quality 32-bit A/D converter from ESS Technology is built into the channel input section, and D/A converters of the same type are incorporated in the master and booth output sections. This lets you produce crystal-clear, natural-sounding audio on the dance floor and in the booth, regardless of the genre you play. The sound of the microphone input and headphone outputs has also been improved and refined, thanks to an enhanced design with carefully selected new components.

The DJM-A9 also features significant improvements in feel and usability. Various elements have been adjusted to make the DJ mixer even more intuitive and comfortable to use, including more space around the EQ knobs. The channel faders and the MAGVEL FADER crossfader are smoother than those on the DJM-900NXS2, enabling smoother mixing and scratching. The Sound Color FX also includes the world's first Center Lock function, which you can activate to prevent accidentally crossing the high/low parameters, no matter how fast you turn the knob. 

Beat FX are more intuitive to use on the DJM-A9 thanks to the new colour display and the newly designed X-Pad, which is now positioned horizontally for easy lateral finger sliding. The Beat FX channel selector is now a button instead of a rotary switch, allowing you to route effects faster, and the Multi I/O section has been upgraded with true send capabilities. In total there are 14 Beat FX to play with, including 3 new ones.
